Psychic Ability Development Course: Journaling
How to use a psychic journal to increase your psychic powers
As you begin down the path to developing your psychic powers, it is important that you keep a journal of your activities. This article examines some of the many reasons for keeping a psychic journal.
Often a person just starting down the path to developing their psychic powers will have a desire to learn a specific ability. They learn everything about the ability that they can, practice psychic exercises on a regular basis, affirm their ability verbally on a regular basis yet results are less than promising.
When we examine their psychic journals, on more than one occasion I have seen hints that showed their first choice was not the best choice for them personally. When they followed the advice their psychic journal lead them to, their abilties activated and blossomed.
In other cases, I have seen people who had problems with predictions being off in time or severity. By examining their journals we were able to spot where it was a slight misreading of the symbolism within the dream. By making fine adjustments to the way the symbols were interpreted, accuracy increased dramatically.
Often we see people who predict an event will happen, with no time frame attached. By listing the prediction in your psychic journal, you can come back at any time and verify the what, when, where and how of the prediction.
What to include in your psychic journal
Your psychic journal can be kept in anything you choose to use. The inexpensive spiral bound notebooks used by millions of school children work perfectly for me personally or you may choose to use a 3 ring binder. I have seen people that prefered to use a handmade book similar to what you see on tv as the typical "book of shadows", with hand made paper held between covers with symbols dealing with dreaming or the night sky.
No matter what you choose to keep your psychic journal in, it is important that a few specific things be kept within its pages.
All dreams should be included, even those that you don't think have any precognitive aspects. Dreams can be quiet fleeting making it very hard to know if tonights dream was a continuation of a dream from weeks ago.
Many people have used their journals to piece together information their psyche is not ready to accept and therefore only small pieces were being retained in the conscious mind at any one time.
Any type of spontaneous visions (clairvoyance) or any clairsentience (hearing) events should be recorded. These should of course include the date and time of the event, but also the local weather at that time, phase of the moon is often helpful and how you are personally feeling is important.
Many people think you are at your best from a psychic standpoint when you are feeling your best, but I have known people that were more accurate and have many more precognitive events when they were feeling bad.
Weather is another factor that can change the psychic powers for some people. Especially thunder storms which have been known to cause some persons psychic powers to turn up several notches.
Tracking stray thoughts or feelings can also prove to be fruitful for finding instances where information is being received in pieces.
Psychic Journal Tips
Don't try to limit yourself on what can be put into your psychic journal. If you think it might be important, put it in even if it does not fit with the normal things you include.
Read back over your psychic journal occasionally. You never know when something that did not ring true will suddenly make perfect sense.
Last but not least, don't be afraid to keep your personal diary in with your psychic journal. No one will see it and often you will find little things within your personal life can affect your psychic powers.
A psychic journal is not just for dreams. Be sure to record any thoughts or ideas that come to you while practicing your psychic exercises, doing a reading for yourself and anything else that seems imporatant to you.
